Waterford Chamber President Kathryn Kiely announced details of the integration of Tramore Chamber of Tourism and Commerce into Waterford Chamber at a special Corporate Evening co-hosted by Comerford Foley and AIB Bank Tramore on Wednesday, 24th October.
Speaking at the Comerford Foley offices in Riverstown Business Park, Kathryn said: “This coming together of Waterford and Tramore Chambers makes for a very strong voice to advocate for the collective business community in Waterford. It is a significant move and one we intend to nurture, while we continue to showcase Waterford as the Capital City of the region and a great place to live, work and do business.”
Kathryn also highlighted a new initiative called ‘The Spirit of Tramore’, which is a photography project designed to meet the proprietors of the local businesses, displayed on shop fronts. The project is currently underway with Waterford Chamber and local photographer Brendan St. John.
Welcoming the strong representation from the business community, Ger Foley of Comerford Foley, said he welcomed the amalgamation of the Chambers and said by working together we can have a much stronger reach.
In the spirit of collaboration, Ger, along with AIB Bank’s Stephen Frampton and Ger Fitzpatrick, offered the gathering sound financial advice, particularly ahead of the tax deadline.
With delicious catering from the Vee Bistro, there was plenty networking and talk of future collaborations, showing the good will and sense of community that exists in Tramore.
